Walter Siebert Harless, Jr., 74, of 305 E. Main Street in Stoneville, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Florida.

Mr. Harless was born May 24, 1941 in McDowell County, WV to the late Walter Siebert Harless, Sr. and Ruth Cruise Harless. He was a US Army veteran, a former member of the Ruritan Club of Stoneville, past Mason, a retired fire fighter and a custom knife-maker. Mr. Harless was a retired fire fighter for the City of Boca Raton in Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Alexander Harless of the home; two daughters, Laura Mansfield and husband, Patrick of Saratoga Springs, NY and Lynore Hird and husband, Nicholas of Boca Raton, FL; two grandchildren, Kathryn Mansfield of Saratoga Springs, NY and Nathan Hird of Boca Raton, FL; and special friends, Dorothy and Gary Ellington of Stoneville.
