Eunice Curry Murray, 66, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, of 1001 Bethlehem Church Road in Eden, passed away early Friday morning, August 7, 2015 at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill.
A funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday August 11, 2015 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Murray was born on May 26, 1949 in Leaksville, North Carolina, to the late Roy Elmer Curry, Sr. and Doris Gauldin Curry. Mrs. Murray graduated from Wentworth High School class of 1967 and attended Pleasant View Baptist Church. She loved to shop and cook for her family and she was a great caregiver to her friends.
Surviving are her husband, Leon Murray of the home; daughter Arlene Murray Wade and husband Jim; son, James Leon Murray, Sr. and wife Lea Ann; 5 grandchildren: Justin Scott Case, Kristin Brooke Kennedy, James Leon Murray Jr., Tiffany Blake Graves, and Bradlee Roy Franklin Murray, Sr.; 5 great-grandchildren: James Leon Murray III, Bradlee Roy Franklin Murray Jr., Bentley James Edward Murray, Avery Brooke Kennedy, and Savannah Grace Murray, 5 step grand children: Danielle Craven, Tyler James Wade, Josh Wray, Brandon Wray and Charles Landon Wade; 3 step great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Wray, Macee Wade, and Kynlee Wade; sisters, Evon Wilson, Irene Curry, Cindy Curry, Janine Curry and brother, Roy Elmer Curry Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Monday evening at Fair Funeral Home, and other times at the home of the daughter, 213 Farrell Street, Eden.
