Kenneth ?¢‚Ǩ?ìGrayson?¢‚Ǩ¬ù Taylor, Jr. age 61, from Eden NC went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 11, 2015.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 15, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Eden, 533 Greenwood St, Eden, NC where he was a member. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was born November 25, 1953 in Danville, VA, son of the late Kenneth Grayson Taylor, Sr. and Mary Clark Taylor, and was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Taylor.
He was married to Diane G. Taylor. He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Taylor of Charlotte, NC; step-sons Joey Hankins and wife Teri of Pleasant Garden, NC and Jay Hankins and wife Michelle of Burlington NC; step-daughter, Jaime Hankins and David Pelham of Raleigh NC; and grandchildren Caleb (and his mother Jennifer Hankins), Emily and William, and ?¢‚Ǩ?ìadopted children?¢‚Ǩ¬ù Brian and Kristy Disher.
Grayson retired in 2015 from the North Carolina Department of Revenue. He was a past member of the North Carolina State Employees Credit Union Board of Directors. Grayson was Who?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges in 1989 - 1990. He was recognized as Employee of the Quarter (3rd Quarter 2013 ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú Field)
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the family home at 276 Laurell Dr. Eden, NC 27288.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church of Eden.

I am greatly saddened to learn of Grayson's passing. From family reports he was suffering greatly but is now free from all pain. I know he was a good man and will be sorely missed by you and all his family.
We shared a good many childhood days when life was much less burdensome and much more magical. I would like to always remember those good times when thinking of him on this earth.
