Rebecca Martin Tanton, 93, passed away Sunday night, April 26, 2015, at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA.
A graveside service will be held 11 am Friday at Haizlip Family Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA.
Mrs. Tanton was born February 25, 1922 in Leaksville, NC to the late L.W. Martin and Martha Haizlip Martin. She was retired School Teacher from the Virginia Beach School System.
Surviving are son, Robert "Bob" Tanton of Waynesville, NC.
She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband Morris Tanton and daughter, Martha Lynn Tanton.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
