Ralph Sanford Leake, 91, of 508 Anglin Mill Road in Stoneville, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 19, 2015, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 22, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA.

Mr. Leake was born November 12, 1923 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Jesse and Lena Thomasson Leake. He attended, in past years, Christian View Holiness Church. As one of the organizers of the Rockingham County Cattleman's Association, Ralph was a member for many years. He was a cattle farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Oakley Leake of the home; two daughters, Winona Price of Stoneville and Edna Lena Kovitz and husband, Michael of Raleigh; son, Winfred Leake and wife, Cheryl of Stoneville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Douglas Oren Leake; son-in-law, Larry Price; four brothers, Bennie Leake, Reverend Harold Leake, Edgar Leake, and Herbert Leake; and four sisters, Fonnie Leake, Mildred L. Cox, Viola Leake, and Pauline L. Lawrence.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
