Kay Griffin Bailey age 77 of Eden passed away early Saturday morning March 28, 2015 at Brian Center of Eden. The funeral service will be held Tuesday 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Danview Cemetery.
Mrs. Bailey was born June 20, 1937 to the late Troy Leonard and Claudine Hodge Griffin in Rockingham County, NC. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker and loving mother, taking care of her family most of her life.
Surviving are her four daughters; Tammy Bailey Young of Eden, Teenia Spain and husband Byron "B.T." of Eden, Anita Bailey Craddock of Axton, VA, Tonia Bailey of Eden, two sons; Troy Wayne Bailey and wife Laura of Eden, Christopher "Randy" Thomas and wife Stacie of Eden, two brothers; Dennis Griffin and wife Janice, Dale Griffin and wife Judy and sister Becky Travis all of Eden, twenty grandchildren, including Denise Roman and Amanda Bailey, and great grandson Tyler Bailey, who she raised as her own children, thirty four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceeding her in death along with her parents are her husband George Junior Bailey, son Timothy Bailey, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be held Monday evening 6until 8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at 1919 Stovall St., Eden.
