Ruth Pratt Lemons age 90 of 539 B Moir St., Eden passed away early Sunday morning March 15, 2015. A graveside service will be held Wednesday March 18, 2015, 2pm at Danview Cemetery.
Mrs. Lemons was born February 11, 1925 in Leaksville, NC to the late Clyde M. Pratt and Fannie Sue Cox Pratt. She worked at DuPont for a few years and then married becoming a homemaker for most of her life.
Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Lemons Ball of Reidsville, NC, Robbin Klein and husband Jerry of Eden, one son Jesse "Jay" W. Lemons III, of Eden, two sisters Faye Pyrtle of Eden, Ann Woodall and husband Ron of Smith Mountain Lake, VA, grandchildren, Mitzie Purdy and husband Greg of Eden, Kim Wright and husband Brian of Winston Salem, NC, Jessica Ball Porter of Eden, Jesse W. Lemons IV of Asheville, NC, Jennifer Lemons of Greensboro, NC, David King and wife Taylor of Eden, great grandchildren, Hayley Porter, Brendan and Dalton Wright, Grant King, numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews who were dear to her heart. Preceeding her death along with her parents are her husband of 45 years Jesse W. Lemons, Jr. daughter Clemmie Ruth Lemons, brother Milton Pratt, sisters Frances Glass, Mildred Campbell and Myra Pratt.
The family would like to extend a special thank to her special caregivers Wanda and Linda, and Hospice of Rockingham Co., for all of their help. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening 6 until 8pm at the home of Carolyn Ball; 947 Ashley Loop Rd. Reidsville, NC. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Rockingham County: 2150 NC 65, Reidsville, NC 27320.

We just found out about Ruth's passing today and were so sorry to hear. We have very fond memories of her over the years. We remember after we moved we were at her house up at Sunset Beach and Danny was still here. We all had a really fun time, as Ruth and Danny could be a lot of fun for sure.
