Betty Jo Dunn Nelson, 66, of 449 Priddy Loop Road in Stoneville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 24, 2015 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 28, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment to take place in the Stoneville Mausoleum.
Mrs. Nelson was born June 26, 1948 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Luther Dunn and Tiny Ratliff Dunn. She was a member of Stone-Eden Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Francis "Frank" Emory Nelson of the home; sons, Frank "Bubba" Nelson of Stoneville and Lee Nelson and wife, Julie Marie, of Beckley, WV; daughter, Betty Ann Manzi and husband, Mark of Eden; five grandchildren, Danielle Grace Nelson, Ara Keaton, Christopher Keaton, Luke Manzi and John Manzi; three brothers, Pete Dunn and wife, Garnette of Eden, Frankie D. Dunn of Reidsville, Leroy Dunn and wife, Carol of Eden; two sisters, Magdaline Hopkins and husband, Fred, and Teresa Archibald, both of Eden; two half brothers, George Dunn and Mike Dunn.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
