George William "Junior" Stone, Jr., 80, of 2008 Gibbs Road in Reidsville, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 23, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stone was born July 27, 1934 in Guilford County, NC to the late George William Stone, Sr. and Nannie Ethel Joyce Stone. He was a US Army veteran and a retired sheet metal worker. Junior was a member of Union #5 of the Sheet Metal Workers.
He is survived by his wife, Darnese Joyner Stone, of the home; daughters, Mary Stone Ferguson and husband, Dana, Angela Stone Shumate and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Brad Clark and wife, Michele of Mt. Juliet, TN, Bryce Clark of Hermitage, TN, Laura and Sarah Shumate of Eden; great-grandchildren, Rylan and Stone Clark of Mt. Juliet, TN; brother Randolph Stone; and sisters, Barbara Ann Stone and Sue Stone Turner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Stone; sisters, Josephine Martin, Margaret Gee; and brothers, Howard Stone, Curtis and Leonard Stone.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 5 - 7 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at 2008 Gibbs Road in Reidsville, NC.
