Robert Lee Gordon, age 67 of 1840 Maryland Ave, Eden passed away on Tuesday morning January 27, 2015 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 12 noon on Friday at First United Methodist Church of Draper with burial to follow at Stokesburg United Methodist Church in Walnut Cove, NC.
Robert was born January 22, 1948 in Guilford County to the late Carl Lee Gordon and Clara Vernon Gordon. He retired from American Tobacco Company after 27 years of service.
He has been most recently a driver for Council on Aging. He was also an avid bowler and golfer and was a member of Lynrock Golf Course.
Surviving are wife, Delores Southern Gordon of the home; daughter, Michele Trent of Eden; stepson, Dean Joyce and wife Angie of Walnut Cove; sister, Kathy Zimmerman and husband James of Mcleansville; 4 grandchildrenTyler & Conner Trent, D.J. and Jessica Joyce; numerous nieces and nephews and cherished friends and family; his pets, Flossie the dog and Morris the cat.
The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church from 11a.m. til 12 noon prior to the service and other times at the Gordon's home on 1840 Maryland Ave. Eden, NC.
Memorial contributions may be offered to ADTS Council on Aging-Specialty Transportation, 108 Lawsonville Ave., Reidsville, NC 27320 or to Donor's choice.
