Charles, my deepest sympathy to you, Joanne, Charlie and Chrissy and your family with the passing of your mom. Kay was a wonderful person who loved her family and friends. She will be missed. I have fond memories of she and your dad. One that I remember with fondness is the many times they were making cannolis, as well as all those Italian cookies at Christmas and Easter. She even taught me how to properly pronounce, "Ricotta" (as in cheese). I also remember the first time I met her while she and your dad were living in New Jersey. As the tradition is with all of my New Jersey (now North Carolinians) friends, aka the Carusos, Toniellis, Fiocchis, Gallelas, and Tomassos, Kay and John had prepared a spread of food that could have fed a large Italian family. And of course, your mom told me several times, "have some more." This is another memory I will always cherish. I encourage all of you to cherish the memories that made Kay Caruso the mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend she was. It is my hope and prayer that our Heavenly Father will embrace each of you with His abiding love through comfort and peace. May He give you the strength and courage to get through the days ahead. I love you all.
