My mother, Roselie Shively-Earles would like to express her deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Jack. Jack was her favorite cousin and she was heart-broken when I told her the news yesterday. She currently is hospitalized and will not be able to attend the services, but wants everyone to know how sorry she is about Jack's passing.

Vivian, you have shown me what a "sister" is all about. You of course are in my thoughts and prayers. I tried calling this afternoon but did not get an answer and I knew you were about your brothers wishes. Thank you for taking such kind loving care of Jack. Love you to the moon and back.. Kathy

Vivian, so sorry to hear of Jack's passing, but he lived a long and good life. My heart goes out to you at this time of loss. Thinking of Jack and you takes me back to Rhode Island Street and so many happy memories that include all the Shivelys. God will grant you peace and comfort.

We will all miss cousin Jack. He has a special place in my heart. When we were talking, he would always tell me the two of us had to stick together. We were probably the only Shively's in the family who voted like Uncle Harvey. It's a good thing my Grandpa Ed didn't know. To Vivian and the rest of the family,I send my love. Would be there if I could. Jack was special, the kind of man that you could truly say was a man of honor. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a fine Christian man, and he lived it out through out his life. We all saw the light that was in him being reflected toward the people he loved. I am so glad I grew up knowing him, and his family. I have many fond memories of them all. Love you cousin Jack, will see you again some day.
