Roger Lee Wright, age 80 of 2229 Ferncliff Road, Charlotte passed away on Saturday January 3rd at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at Dan View Cemetery on Fieldcrest Road in Eden, NC.
Mr. Wright was born June 20, 1934 in the Draper section of Eden to the late Eddie Thomas and Clara Wright. Mr. Wright was a US Army Veteran and was a member of St. Johns Baptist Church in Charlotte. He was a talented "fine" Artist.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil , Harold and Wayne Wright and one sister, Hazel Wright Arnold.
Surviving are wife, Marie Maness Wright of the home and sister-in-law, Ruby Maness of Eden; also several nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 till 11:45 am at Fair Funeral Home in Eden before proceeding to the cemetery for the burial.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Johns Baptist Church in Charlotte.
