Evelyn Odell Corum, age 78 of 13911 Hwy 87 North passed away Saturday
afternoon December 27, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel
with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.
Mrs. Corum was born February 19, 1936 to the late Joe Henry and Susie
Hopkins Odell in Leaksville, NC. She was a member of Gospel Road Baptist
Church and worked 30 plus years at Sara Lee where she was a seamstress.
Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
Surviving are her daughter JoAnne Cockman and husband Steve of Eden,
two sons Garland E. Corum and wife Terry J. Corum, and Jeffrey L. Corum
both of Eden, one sister Myrtle Odell of Eden, two grandchildren Doug
Corum and wife Vickie of Stoneville, NC and Jada Cockman of Eden, and
two great grandchildren Brie and Brooke Corum along with numerous
special nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she was preceded in
death by her husband Garland Ray Corum, two sisters Eva Wade and Mollie
O. Chilton, two half sisters Lucille Meeks and Edith Davis, and one half
brother Cecil Hopkins.
The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Fair Funeral
Home Chapel and other times at the home of her daughter JoAnne, 14693
Hwy 87 North, Eden.
