Carl Benton Kingston, 66, of 9063 Axton Road, went to be with the Lord Sunday afternoon, January 3, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 6, at Gospel Tabernacle on Linoln Street. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mr. Kingston was born August 10, 1943 in Rockingham County, NC. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of Gospel Tabernacle. Mr. Kingston was a retired supervisor with Mid-Atlantic Construction Company. Surviving is his wife, Margaret Wilson Kingston of the home; sons, Carl Wayne Kingston and wife, Melissa and Jody Kingston and wife, Amanda, all of Eden; daughter, Donna K. East and husband, Ronnie of Eden; father, Stanley Kingston of Eden; brothers Johnnie Kingston and Mike Kingston and wife, Gina all of Eden; sister, Roberta Wilson and husband, Curtis; and five grandchildren, Tiffany Kingston and Tyler, Macy, Jacob, and Shawn East, II. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Moore Vernon. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 7 - 9 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
