Otis R. Shelton, 82, of 345 Daniel Adkins Street in Eden, passed away Sunday morning at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, December 17, at Fair Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Southside Baptist Church Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA.
Mr. Shelton was born March 27, 1932 in the Price Community of Rockingham County, to the late Reverend Ramon J. Shelton and Ada Grindstaff Shelton. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and a retiree of Duke Power Steam Station. Otis enjoyed his retirement to the fullest.
He is survived by his son, Ernest Shelton and his fiancee, Gloria Griffin, of Stoneville; grandson, Brandon Shelton of Eden; and sister, Doris Barbee of Kinard, FL.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (11AM - 12 Noon) at Fair Funeral Home.
