Michael Stephen Archibald, 67, of 8775 NC Hwy 14 in Eden, passed away Monday afternoon, November 24, 2014, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 28, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Archibald was born November 24, 1947 in Rockingham County. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran and was currently a member of the local VFW (Veteran's of Foreign Wars). Mike was a member of Osborne Baptist Church and was truly dedicated to the church and his church family. He was a retiree of American Tobacco Company. One of his passions was NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Dunn Archibald and their daughter, Beth Archibald of the home; son, Wayne Archibald of Eden; daughter, Lynn Fuller of Eden; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his mother, Lucille Odell Archibald.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, William Brenard Archibald.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) on Friday at Fair Funeral Home.
