Lewis E. Clifton, 70, of 304 Wilson Street in Eden, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, 5 - 7 PM, at Fair Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at a later date.
Mr. Clifton was born July 22, 1944 in Henry County, Virginia, to the late Charles Edward Clifton and Ada Jarrett Clifton. He was a retiree of VF Knitwear.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Cassell Clifton of the home; son, Robert Lewis Clifton and wife, Jessica, of Winston-Salem; three step-children, Danny Inman and Lisa Burroughs of Greensboro and Wendy Rhyne of Burlington; brother, Billy Clifton and wife, Bunny, of Bassett, VA; and sister Betty Arnold and husband, Richard, of Collinsville, VA.
Memorial contributions may be made to Joyful Baptist Church, 127 Morgan Road, Eden, NC 27288.
