Robert "Bob" H. Smith, age 74 of 1078 Taylor Rd., Stoneville, NC passed Friday November 7 at his farm. There will be a graveside service held Monday November 10th, 2pm at Stoneville City Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born June 28, 1940 in Henderson, NC to the late William Jethro Smith and Lucille Andrews Smith. He was a member of Stoneville Baptist Church and also a member of Matrimony Grange for over 30 years. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam and retired from the state working for the Employment Security Commission as a Field Tax Auditor.

Surviving are his wife Ramona Stanford Smith of the home, his son Randolph Allen Smith and wife Jessica Moore Smith of Greensboro, NC, daughter Katherine Smith Bouchelle and husband Jeffrey L. Bouchelle of Knightdale, NC, two sisters Brenda Smith Turner and husband Danny of Maryland, Mattie Smith Hendricks of Henderson, NC, grandchildren Kaitlyn Brooke Bouchelle, Forrest Slater Bouchelle, McKinley Katherine Smith, Logan Moore Smith, Connor Stanford Smith, Kieran Story Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death along with his parents are his son Robert Stanford Smith, two brothers and seven sisters.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 until 8 pm at Fair Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of his son, 8403 Lillys Court, Greensboro, NC.

Dear Ramona and family, my deepest sympathy to each of you, I was saddened to just learn of Bob's passing. It was my privilege to work with Bob a number of years at ESC in Wentworth. He was always a man full of much energy, and he will be missed.
