I worked for Otis and Everette at the Tri-City Food Market stores on both Washington Street and The Boulevard in the 1950's when I was in high school. Otis became more than an employer ... he became a close friend. When I was in Eden this past October, I visited him and Claudia as I always did when in town and was very happy to find him feeling well and able to carry on a good conversation. I knew when I left that it might be the last time I saw him. And it was. May God bless Claudia, Gail, and all of those who were close to him. Jimmy Adkins, Selmer, TN

I have known Otis since I was a little girl and he had the store on the boulevard. My daddy Cosby Purdy bought groceries there and we could go by and Otis know we were Cosby Purdy's children and was always good to daddy and to us. He was a good man and neighbor. Deepest sympathy to the family. Brenda Purdy Hearne

To Otis Webb Family, I always enjoyed talking to Otis and hearing his stories at the Joyce/Doyle reunion. I visited him with my mother Myrtle and sister Sharon once and had a wonderful time. He will be missed and my prayers go out to the family. Sincerely-Tony Joyce

As a child, I often went with my parents to buy groceries at the store on the Boulevard. Otis once gave me a childs baking set. I still have some of the pans (our girls played with the pans also). My husband, Mike, attended church at Saint Lukes, so we both loved Otis. He will be greatly missed. Beth and Mike Hunnicutt
