Lillie Haynes Edwards Ramsey age 89 of 716 Roberts Road, Eden,NC peacefully went home to her Savior with a smile and a tear for her daughter on Sunday morning October 19, 2014 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ramsey was born December 30, 1924 in Rockingham County to the late Thomas and Lillian Scott Edwards. She was a member of Floyd Baptist Church and retired from Fieldcrest Mills, bedspread division.
Lillie loved to cook and bake for her family.
Preceding her in death along with her parents was her former husband Howard Powell Ramsey; brothers, Bill, Frank, Nathan, Marion and John Edwards; sisters Lucille and Ruby Edwards and Nannie Vernon.
Surviving is her daughter, Connie Eller and husband Jimmy; numerous neices and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 6981 N.C. Hwy 770 Eden, NC
The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Hospice for their love and care given to Mrs. Ramsey .
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, Po Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.

I worked with "Miss Lillie" as we called her many years ago. She was a wonderful cook and a great lady. I always enjoyed being around her and listening to her stories. I know she will be missed by many. God Bless!!
