My most sincere condolences to his close family and friends. He is my 3d cousin, and his wife is my 4th cousin. We never met in person, but e-mailed quite a bit many years ago concerning Hankins genealogy. I too retired from the military, but I lived in Georgia at the time, although I was born and raised in Axton, Va., and my Mom was born and raised in Leaksville. I didn't know he was living in Washington, and I regret never making a trip to sit and chat with him about the military and our Hankins ancestry. Sincerely, James Hankins
