To the Clarke family: I am so sorry to hear of Betty's passing. My family were long time patients of Dr. Clarke. He was a fine Doctor. Betty was a precious lady also. May God bless and comfort you in the days ahead. I am praying for you, love in Christ, Nancy Raines.

I knew Betty thru her Daughter "Patty" Patty and I were the same age, and attended school together. I was also a good friend of Pattys" Well, consider myself to still be a friend, even tho, I haven't seen Patty in a few years. I will never forget the PJ parties at the Clarkes'. I spent alot of time in their home while in elementary school. It was always such a joy and pleasure to be there. I always was made to feel very warmely welcomed in their home. MRS. Clarke always saw to that.As a young child I was able to experience a different type of life while being with the Clarkes, and I will never forget those memories.Patty, and to your sisters, I am so sad for your loss. I only have fond memories of your Mother. Such a kind gracious lady.I'll never forget the sleep overs, and the trip to the Broadway show, "Hello Dolly", with Patty and her parents. Being with the Clarke family wad something special that I will never forget. MRS. Clarke was one of a kind, and will be greatly missed. If ever there is anything that I could possibly do for you and your family, if only to talk, do not hesitate to call!I will always hold your family dear to my heart! May GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!

It saddened my heart so when I seen of Betty's passing. My mind was flooded with a lifetime of beautiful memories of the Clarke family and my family. The Clarke Family was so special to me in so many ways and I loved sitting with you girls when our parents were doing something or going somewhere. I'm out of town and won't be back in time for the services. Please know that I hold each of you in my heart and a candle is lit for all of you and Betty sending Love and Light! Carolyn Lemons Ball

Uncle Gordon, my mother's brother, & Aunt Betty were important in the lives of the Clarke family. My mother, Jean Clarke Brewer, spoke of them often before her passing. Aunt Betty took me to swim on our family visit when I was a very young child. I pray that Aunt Betty's family will celebrate her life & enjoy the comfort of The Lord as He will never leave you. Love, Dot

May the arms that welcomed Betty into heaven be the same arms that hold your heart today as you lay the earthly body of your precious mother to rest. I have outstanding memories of the times Betty (and Gordon) hosted various club meetings during the years I taught the Clarke girls. The basement in your Meadow Road home was the gathering place for Literary Club meetings, Clarions get-togethers, and parties for the various reasons my Academically Talented students decided to meet. She was a lady of grace and giving. I have known her well since her girls became adults, and I loved visiting with her and Jimmie Pyron on Sundays at Chaney's after church. She was a friend who blessed my life in many ways, the best one being the gift of three outstanding students to teach and to love!

My deepest condolences to the Clarke Family, Horton Family and all the extended family, in the passing of Aunt Betty. She and my dear Uncle (Dr.) Gordon, my precious Mom's Brother, were close to our hearts, even though we allowed miles of geographical separation to interfere with in-person fellowship we always desired. I remember Aunt Betty's active life, swimming at the Country Club as a child, and Uncle Gordon's certification of healing and wellness of my legs after Mom and Dad prayed for me.
