Mary Frances Joyce Lawrence, 63, of 907 Gracewood Dr. in Eden passed away early Saturday morning at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Funeral services will be held on Monday, 2:00 pm at the Providence Baptist Church with burial to follow in Ridgeview Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence was born in Stokes Co. on May 3, 1951 to the late Reuben and Mary Joyce. She was an avid reader and last worked at American Furniture Co. in Martinsville and also worked for over 26 years at the Centel Phone Co.
Mary Frances is survived by her husband, Jimmy, of the home; sisters, Wanda Hicks and husband, Jay of King, NC, Cindy Roberts and Husband, Pete , Brenda Burroughs and husband, Randy and Lisa Gilbert and friend, Ronald, all of Stoneville; brothers, Jackie Joyce of Eden, Phil Joyce and wife Diana of Graham, Barry Joyce and wife Bambi of Stoneville and Randy Joyce of Madison; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Nancy Draper and special lifelong friends, Jean Craven and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Van Joyce Sr.
A visitation will be held at the church 1 hour prior to the service(1til 2 pm) and at other times at her sister Brenda's home at 4583 Price Rd. in Stoneville.
