I remember when Bonnie tracked me down and she had asked me to call him on Christmas day as a surprise. I didn`t know much about him then but I wanted to meet him and the rest of my family from Eden. Over the next few years I grew to love him as well as the rest of the family, Bonnie, Mark, Chad and my new mother Faye and the rest as well. I thought we`d have all the time in the world to spend together to do some of the things we didn`t get to do over the years we were apart... and we did get to do some of them, and I enjoyed every minute we had together! And now he`s gone to a better place, I`ll miss him... and I love him with all my heart, I couldn`t have asked for a better father! I`ll always remember you dad, I love you! Your son: Bruce

Though we only actually met a couple of times and talked on the phone, he and the rest of the Wyatt family made me feel like I was one of the family. On the day Bruce and I were leaving after our visit nothing would do but he had to take us to Hardee's first for breakfast. I had mentioned loving sausage gravy over biscuits like he did and he made sure I got some before leaving. Having been through the loss of loved ones before myself, my heart goes out to each life Elmo Wyatt touched. I know there are no words that can lessen the deep sense of loss. Only time and the peace only God can give will help. No one else can fill the place left by his passing. My prayers are with everyone for strength and peace as each person deals with this difficult time in their own way. God's blessings on every one of you in the days ahead. Love and Prayers, Cassie

I first met Elmo almost 10 years ago when I got my first job working at Hardees'. He was one of the best people I've ever known. He would always me I was going to be a bigshot movie star and to not forget him when I went to Hollywood. Over the years, if I went to Hardees' and he was there, he'd greet me with a big hug and ask if I went to Hollywood yet. I never went to Hollywood, but I never forgot Elmo either. My utmost condolences to your family. You will be in my thoughts.

I've known Elmo since 1981 from Russell Transfer. He was a good driver and a good friend. He started his own company and left Russell. A few years later Russell went out of business and Elmo hired me to "dispatch" on 3rd shift. He didn't need anyone on 3rd shift. He was just being Elmo and trying to help me out. That's the kind of guy he was. I knew his son Mark more than the rest of the family but he's cut from the same cloth. Good men are hard to find these days. Good friends are harder to find. Good bye my friend!
