Vena May Craddock Neal, 83, of 3747 Price Road in Stoneville, passed away Saturday evening, August 2, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 6, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Neal was born August 31, 1930 in Henry County, Virginia, to the late Jesse and Hester Stegall Craddock. She was a member of Floyd Baptist Church and a retiree of Martinsville Furniture Company.
She is survived by her son, Randy Neal and wife, Sandra, of Stoneville; daughter, Linda Cook and husband, Sanford, of Axton, VA; granddaughter, Melinda Cook-Cartmell and husband, John, of Axton, VA; grandson, Chris Neal and wife, Jessica, of Stoneville; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Tyler Cartmell and Braelyn Danielle Neal; and sisters, Vera Joyce of Stoneville and Zela Nelson of Sandy Ridge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Reeves Neal, along with 17 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.
