To the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I read the obituaries from time to time, and I just wanted to say that my heart goes out to you, and that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. A scripture that has really given me comfort in times when I have lost a loved one is 1 Corinthians 15:26. Here God calls death an enemy, an enemy that will "be brought to nothing." This assures us that it was never God's purpose that humans die, and it still isn't. Job 14:14, 15 says that He yearns to bring back to life those we have lost. You may recall that when Jesus was on earth, he ressurected many humans back to life, including young children (Luke 8:49-55). This was a foreshadow of what Jesus will accomplish on a grand scale in the future. Your little one Alexandra has this same hope too. John 5:28, 29 says that "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice, and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life. " May these sciptures help you to cope during this difficult time.
