William "David" Goldston, III, age 65, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 24 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1821 Ashley Loop in Reidsville, NC.
David was born March 21, 1949 in Rockingham County, NC to Bill and Beverly Burton Goldston of Eden. David graduated from Morehead High School, class of 1967 and Elon University, class of 1972. He was a resident of Lake Norman, NC, where he took advantage of his love of all water sports. He was a lover of animals and had many beautiful birds and dogs. Throughout his adult years, he had worked in sales and had most recently worked for the LL Corporation, a carpet distributor in Charlotte, NC.
He is survived by his parents and was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Wesley Goldston.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service a 912 Bethlehem in Eden.

How saddened we are to read in the Charlotte paper of David's death and please know of our heartfelt sympathy and love during this most difficult time for you both. We did not realize that he lived here on Lake Norman -- where we spend our summers. We cannot imagine how hard it is to lose a child and we send our prayerful support over the distance to you. I was so sad to read of David's death. I had talked to David a few months ago but I had not seen him in a long while. I have wonderful memories of being with you all at the lake many years ago when you taught me to water ski.
