George and Sarah and all family members, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with John for 4.5 years and from day one we became close friends. Myself, John and the rest of the gang would meet at my house after work daily to relax from the work day. We all had nick names for one another and we called John, "JW" or "the Dub". Your son, uncle, cousin, grandpa, was an amazing warm hearted man that will be missed beyond infinity. John brought a once in a life time friendship to me and I thank God for the time spent with him. My sincere prays as the time of healing goes on. Greg Bentz

I'm Johns oldest sister and wanted all my North Carolina family, especially my Mom and Dad to know that my condolences go out to all of you who has lost a family member. I want you all to know that John died peacefully in his sleep. We had a wonderful celebration of his life here in Florida that was attended by about 200 folks. He was highly respected and loved by friends and work associates! John was my brother and my friend. We talked to each other several times a week and cooked out often! I'm at a total loss and will miss him deeply! He was also very generous to his family, friends and even strangers. He did random acts of giving! May he rest in peace and God help each and everyone of you with your loss! Diane Wood Peyton

An Angel whispered take my hand and come with me you're work here is done. I went away to a place where there's no tears, nor sorrow only laughter and smiles, there will always be a Tomorrow. As I move amongst the clouds. I'll look down and smile upon you, while the angels sing a heavenly song. I am not alone all who went before are here they awaited my return. I know you'll grieve and wish I was still here I am here in the memories you hold dear. Remember how much I love you and know I took your love with me. I did not wish for you to cry, nor feel sad. My pain is gone and I am Free! Soon you'll come to me until then God will be with you Just as He's with me

my condolences to the Wood family, may your loved one sleep peacefully while awaiting the fulfillment of the beautiful promises of our loving God Jehovah. He has promised to awaken all those sleeping in death.(John 5:28,29) At that time your dear John will awaken to a world free from all of the distressing things of today. (Revelation 21:4,5)May you all find real comfort in God's word the bible. Take care
