Sara Jane Roberts Corum, 88, of 408 Lake Street in Eden, passed away Sunday morning, May 4, 2014, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 7, at Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery.
A Rockingham County native, Mrs. Corum was born April 5, 1926, daughter of the late Willie and Maybud Newman Roberts. She was a member of Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church and a retiree of Fieldcrest Cannon Mills.
She is survived by her daughters, Portia Brush of Rockport, TX, Eugenia Corum of the home, Linda C. Stump and husband, Hassell of Reidsville; sons, Jerry Lee Corum and wife, Ruby JoAnn of Boiling Springs, NC and Samuel "Sammy" Webb Corum and wife, Katie; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Webb Corum; son, Benny William Corum; and sister, Doris Jean Stultz.
A special thank you is expressed to special nieces, Debbie Overby and Gracie Turner.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
