Mae was such a blessing to all. Her love of life, dedication to cause, delightful sense of humor and unselfish service to others provided us with a role model to live our lives. Mae was a visionary who touched so many lives. None of us will ever know the full extent of her impact. Each of us has a personal history of formative moments that created our own unique relationship and bond with Mae for which we are grateful. We were fortunate to share her time on this earth and now she most assuredly is with the Lord.

I met Major Harris in Shelby, many years ago, we kept in touch over the years , she was someone that understood us as teenagers , and later understood us as adults. She was a special person with a heart the size of Texas.
