Shelby Gallimore White, 77, formerly of Eden, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in Richmond VA.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Draper, 1017 Fieldcrest Rd, Eden, NC. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Cemetery.
Mrs. White was born October 26, 1936 in Rockingham County, NC, daughter of the late John H. and Minnie C. Gallimore. She was married to Val A. White, who preceded her in death, along with their son Joel Barry White.
She is survived by sons, Steven A. White and wife Donna of Suwanee, GA, Jonathan D. White and wife April of Bladenboro NC ; daughter, Kathi W. Fife and husband, Terry of Richmond VA; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters Diane Taylor, Faye Beal and Sylvia Vincent.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Diane Taylor, at 276 Laurell Dr. Eden, NC 27288.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gideon?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
