Joan Elizabeth Brennan Pickard, 81,Eden passed away Saturday March 22, 2014 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. Joan E., 81, of Eden, NC, passed away on March 22nd. She was born and raised in Clifton, NJ, prior to moving to Eden with her husband.
She once worked as an administrator at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville and was a volunteer at The Hospice of Rockingham County.
Mrs. Pickard (nee Schweighardt) was born August 9, 1932 in Passaic, NJ, daughter of John and Rose Schweighardt of Clifton, NJ.
She is survived by her son, Clifford Brennan of East Falmouth, MA; brother, John Schweighardt of Wayne, NJ, sisters Marlene Coppola of Lighthouse Point, FL and Rosemary Schweighardt of West Orange, NJ, and grandchildren Elizabeth Brennan of East Falmoutth, MA and Patrick Brennan of Kansas City. MO.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Pickard.
A funeral service will be held 12 pm on Tuesday March 25 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausloeum with a visitation to be held one hour prior from 11 til 12.
