Wendell Eugene Wilson, 67, of 602 Henry Street, passed away early Friday morning, January 1, 2010, at Morehead Memorial Hospital. The service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday January 3, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery in Eden. Mr. Wilson was born in Leaksville, N.C., on February 18, 1942, to James Oda and Bessie Roberts Wilson, who preceded him in death. He was a member member of Wayside Church Of The Living God, and retired from Fieldcrest Mills where he worked as a shipping clerk. He also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Surviving his memory are his wife, Mary Ann Thompson Wilson, of the home; sons, David Wilson and wife, Susan, of Eden, William Wilson and wife, Lisa, of Stoneville, and Josh Wilson. of the home; daughter, Leigh Turley and husband, Robert, of Reidsville; brother, Roy Wilson; sisters, Linda Norris and husband, Morris, and Elaine Wilson, all of Eden; grandchildren, Brooke, Tyler, and Taylor Turley, Danielle Wilson and Hannah Wilson, and Ashley Duggins; and one niece and nephew. Dear Mary Ann Thompson Wilson And Family, Sorry For The Passing Of Your Husband Mr. Wendell Eugene Wilson. I worked with your son david wilson, at karastan rug mill for over 13 years, we had alot of good memories and times together. I miss david, wish he was still here at karastan. Whenever you loose a mother or a father you never get over the pain. It could take years and years for you to try to cope and deal with the loss of a loved one.
