Jerline Thornton Tumlinson, age 80 of 308 Martinwood Rd. Eden, passed away on Thursday evening January 16, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A Funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery.
Mrs. Tumlinson was born April 10, 1933 in Rockingham County to the late Walter Raymond Thornton, Sr. and Tressie Bouldin Thornton. She was a member of North Side Baptist Church for the last 15 years. She was retired from Spray Cotton Mills after 25 years of service.
She was predeceased along with her parents by daughter, Sherry Kingston; brother, Buford Thornton and two husbands,
Russell Crouch, Sr. and Harry Earles.
Surviving are husband, Clyde Tumlinson; sons, Pete Crouch and wife Debbie, Russell "Dube" Crouch and Gary Crouch and wife Sandy; daughters, Yuvonne Boyte and husband Mike, Lisa Smith and husband Jack and Cindy Curry and husband Donnie; brother, Rev. Walter Thornton, Jr.; son-in-law, Johnnie Kingston, 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 -8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Sorry to hear of Jerline's passing. She always had a smile on her face no matter what she may have been going through. Heaven is rejoicing and she will be missed here on earth. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this time.
