Melvin "Bud" Tarlton Reynolds, 92, of 236 Jackson St., Eden, passed away Sunday January 12, 2014 at his home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant View Baptist Church where he was a member. Burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.

Bud was born on June 6, 1921 to the late William "George Buck" and Nannie Hopkins Reynolds in Rockingham County.Bud was retired from E.I. DuPont and was a World War II Army veteran.

Bud was survived by his wife Wanda Price Reynolds of the home, daughter; Lynne Reynolds Wilson and husband Jim of Providence, N.C., sons; Fred Reynolds and wife Lynn of Eden, Jeff Reynolds and wife Crystal of Eden; grandchildren, Jon Wilson and wife Stephanie,Joshua Reynolds, Joseph Reynolds and wife Connie, Jordon Reynolds, Catherine Reynolds, Elijah Reynolds,and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Wilson, sisters; Rheugenia Willis Austin, Catherine Cox, Maggie Cashwell.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m.Monday evening at Pleasant View Baptist Church and other times at the home.

Praying for your family, we will miss Brother Bud, remembering years ago that he came forward at pvbc asking GOd to save him. he was such a blessing to those around him. the last sunday he came to church will forever be a memory ofmine. He was determined to go up with the choir, the men of the church helped him get upthe stairs to the choir,what a blessing he was to all of us. Well done thy faithfull sevant. susan and eddie price
