Lois Christine Weadon Kennon, 80, of 1216 Front Street in Eden, passed away Tuesday night, December 17, 2013, at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, December 20, at Danview Cemetery.
Mrs. Kennon was born August 22, 1933 in Rockingham County, NC. She was the daughter of John Abraham and Mary Chumley Weadon. She was a former employee of Fieldcrest Mills.
She is survived by her three daughters, Marsha Thacker and husband, Geoffrey of Eden, Mary Beckner and husband, Tim of Eden, and Sheila Kennon of Marietta, Georgia; son, Jerry Kennon of Eden; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Barbara Rich; and special friend, Melvin Turner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Onist Kennon; two children, Janet and Lisa Kennon; five brothers, Henry, Webb, Norman, Woodrow and Frank Weadon; and four sisters, Anna, Edna, Florence, and Lizzie.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 7 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.
