Lucille Jones Minter, age 81 of 233 Murphy Lane, Eden, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 27, 2013 at Morehead Nursing Center.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery.

Mrs. Minter was born December 24, 1931 in Rockingham County. She was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Osborne Baptist Church since 1956. Lucille retired from Rockingham County Schools where she work in the Cafeteria. Preceding her in death was her mother, Ruby Jones Hall; son, Randy Allen Minter and brothers Junior Allen Jones and James Edgar Jones.

Surviving are husband, William "Bo" Minter of the home; son, Richard "Ricky" W. Minter and wife Avis of Eden; daughter, Vickie Minter Corum and husband Doug of Stoneville; sisters, Carolyn Taylor of Liberty, Marie Cassell of Bassett, VA and Sherry Kennon of Ruffin; granddaughters, Samantha and Courtney Minter, Brianna and Brooke Corum; grandsons, Adam Minter and wife Crystal and Randy Smith; great granddaughter, Parker Smith.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 - 2 pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel and other times at the home.
