Angeline Neal Talbott, 88, 1126 Harris Street, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at Hospice Home of Rockingham County on Sunday, November 24, 2013, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 27, at Kings Highway Christian Church with Roy Moulden, Terry Shultz, and Pastor Wayne Johnson presiding. Burial will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

Angeline was born on March 27, 1925 in Leaksville, NC, to the late J. O. and Pansey Neal. She was a charter member of Kings Highway Christian Church, where she served as the first Sunday School Secretary, head of the Bereavement Committee, sang in the choir, only treasurer of Women's Missionary Council, and the 20th Church Anniversary Committee. Angeline's (Nannie's) life consisted of God first, then church and family. Her family has inherited a lifetime of precious memories and wisdom from her that will last longer than a lifetime. She retired from Sears after 41 years of service.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, James B. Talbott, Jr. and wife, Martha; granddaughters, Michelle Talbott-Corum and husband, Todd and Emily Talbott Bates and husband, Daniel; great-grandson, Blake Edward Corum; great-granddaughter, Samantha Leigh Bates; brother, Garland Neal and wife, Jackie; and sister-in-law, Judith P. Graham.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, James B. Talbott, Sr; sister, Connie Neal Land and brother-in-law, Lonnie Land.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
