Eugene "Bookie" Wesley Pulliam, 81, of 11361 Greensboro Road in Ridgeway, VA, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013, at his home.

His graveside service is scheduled for 2 PM on Wednesday, November 6, at Mt. View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA.

Mr. Pulliam was born August 17, 1932 in Henry County, VA. He was the son of the late John K. Pulliam and Eva Walker Pulliam. He was the former owner and operator of Sealtest Dairy Bar and Grill in Eden, prior to his retirement in 1994.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Emory Pulliam of the home; three daughters, Anne P. Crowder of Reidsville, Jennifer Lynne Connors and husband, Kevin of Rockford, TN, and Amy P. Winn and husband, Eric of Ridgeway, VA; granddaughters, Sara Smith and husband, Kevin of Reidsville, April Fargis and husband, Jordan of Reidsville, Samantha Vandiver of Rockford, TN and Dianna Winn of Ridgeway, VA; two grandsons, Wesley Vandiver of Knoxville, TN and Jacob Winn of Ridgeway, VA; four great-grandchildren, Eli and Katie Smith, Camdyn Fargis and Tyson Vandiver; and sisters, Carrie Briggs and Emily Brooks, both of Ridgeway, and Janet Lester of Stoneville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Pulliam, Jr.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 7 - 9 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.
