Vickie Gowan Stratton, 60, of Eden, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, October 22, 2013, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 26, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery.
Mrs. Stratton was born April 17, 1953 in Danville, VA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Franklin Gowan and Nell Barber Gowan. Vickie attended Ressurection Life Church and was a former 20 year employee of Morehead Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Stratton, of the home; son, William Stratton and wife, Cheryl of Browns Summit; brother, Joseph Frank Gowan, III and wife, Linda of Ridgeway, VA; nephew, Joseph Reid Gowan of Ridgeway, VA; four grandchildren, Billy, Makayla, Summer and Kendyl Stratton; and aunt, Lettie Faye Kirks.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, 7 - 9 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.
