Penny Anne Kruzewski Simmons, age 49 of 543 Patrick Street, Eden, passed away on Friday evening October 11, 2013 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Penny was born May 8, 1964 in Riverside, CA to the late John and Antoinette Kruzewski. Penny received a masters degree in business and was employed by UPS in management. She attended Osborne Baptist Church and was a member of Lake Murray Baptist Church in Lexington, SC. Surviving are husband, Thomas Simmons, and her constant companion "Ruby" the bulldog of the home;. aunt, Tilly Lucantoni and husband Silvo of Bournemouth, England; uncle, Robert "Bobby" Kruzewski of Providence, RI; cousins, Mike and Joe Kruzewski of Mass.; special friends, Jan & Joey Lee of Columbia, SC and Susan Scarano Goff and husband Sonny also of Columbia, SC; mother-in-law, Barbara Simmons-Jones of Leesville, SC; sister-in-law, Samantha Simmons of Columbia, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, Po Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 or Rockingham County Animal Rescue, 205 Boone Road, Eden, NC 27288.

So saddened to hear of Penny leaving this earth but at the same time joyful that she is no longer suffering and knowing she is now at the wonderful side of our Lord and Savior completely healed. I'm so very sorry to hear off Penny's passing. I've enjoyed getting to know both she and Thomas the last yr. Through any struggle or pain, she always had a smile on her face and had a positive attitude.
