Reverend Bobby Lee Holliman, Sr., 82, went home to be with his Lord on Monday October 7, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 10, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.

Reverend Holliman was born on Main Street in Draper on April 6, 1931 to Joseph Edward Holliman, Sr. and Lillian Landreth Holliman. He lived most of his life in Draper, NC and Rockingham County. He retired from Karastan Rug Mill at the age of 62 but continued his career as co-owner of Holliman - Kling Insurance Agency in Draper until retirement in 2001. He was employed by Layne Family Pharmacy for eight years until 2011 when he retired. Reverend Holliman retired as pastor of Christway Baptist Church in early 2013.

He is survived by his three sons, Bobby L. Holliman, Jr. of the home, Reverend Nathaniel Holliman and wife, Gwendolyn of Woodleaf, NC, and Arthur Holliman and wife, Penny of Mayodan; daughter, Donna Kling and husband, Walter, of the home; and special friend, Maye Reinart.

Also surviving are granddaughter, Lisa Hodgin and husband, Stan of Greensboro and grandson, Neal Holliman and fiancee, Holly Denson of Eden. Survivors also includes great-grandchildren, Leighann Carroll, Corey Bowling, Paige Denson, Jordan Davis and husband, Tony, Sara Allen and husband, Billy, Matthew Hodgin; and great-great-grandchildren Kaleb, Christopher, Jonathan and Temperance Davis and Garrett Allen; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Reverend Holliman was predeceased by his wife of almost fifty years, Howardine Holliman; parents, Joseph Sr. and Lillian Holliman; sister, Edna Martin; brothers, Joseph Jr., and Clayton Holliman; grandson, William Wilson Jr.; dear brother-in-law, Malcolm "Smokey" Stratton; and sisters-in-law, Jeanette Stratton, Lois Quick, Elaine Holliman and Elner Holliman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christway Baptist Church, 759 Summit Road, Eden, NC 27288 or to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 7 - 9 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home, 209 East Arbor Lane, Apt. C in Eden.
