Judie “Camille” Brown Smart, 81, of Locust Grove, GA, passed away on November 16th, 2018, after a year-long battle with cancer. Camille passed away at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 28, 1937 in the Spray section of Eden, North Carolina, but had been a resident of the Atlanta, Georgia area for the past 50 years.

Visitation will be held at Fair Funeral Home in Eden, NC on Tuesday, November 20th between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm at Overlook Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Self officiating.

Camille is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold “Pete” Smart of Locust Grove, GA; son, H. Joseph Smart Jr. and wife Carol of Locust Grove, GA; daughter, Michelle Smart and her fiancé Michael Klein of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Toni Picarelli and her husband Michael of Greensboro, NC; six grandchildren, Dr. Laura Nagy and her husband Josh of Lexington, KY, Erin and Emily Smart of Locust Grove, GA, Jack and Sarah Lillian Picarelli of Greensboro NC, and Andrew Sevcik Smart of Atlanta, GA; brother Owen A. Brown and his wife JoAnn of Eden, NC; sisters-in-law Louise Lackey of Plano, TX, and Donna Scott Brown of McDonough, GA, and many nieces and nephews.

Camille is preceded in death by her parents Tura Clark Brown and Bill Brown of Eden, NC; son, Michael Steven Smart; sisters Billie Jo Black and Barbara Black, both of Eden, NC; sister Mary Ruth Brock of Martinsville, VA; and brother Van Clark Brown of McDonough, GA.
