Riley William "Bill" Meeks, Jr., 68, of 145 Patriot Lane in Reidsville, passed away Sunday morning, June 10, 2018, at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 14, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10 - 11 AM) at Fair Funeral Home.

Bill was born July 1, 1949 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Riley Meeks, Sr. and Maxine M.  Dorsett.  He was a graduate of Morehead High School, Class of 1967 and a veteran of the US Air Force.  Bill was an ordained minister and had pastored Spray Baptist Church.  He later became a member of Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church in Ruffin.  Bill enjoyed playing golf; he loved the Lord and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Tate Meeks of the home;  sons, Greg Meeks (Angel) of Ridgeway, VA and Kevin Meeks (Brittany) of Atlanta, GA;  two grandchildren, Addison Faith Meeks and Preston Martin;  sisters, Pamela McLain (Frank) of Reidsville, Sue Ligon (Mark) of Reidsville, Robin Cariveau (Brad) of Supply, and Bunnie Lopez of Durham.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Overby.
