Obituary For Vivian Mae Collins Evans
September 15, 1933 - April 18, 2018


Vivian Mae Collins Evans, age 84 of 241 Singleton Rd. Reidsville went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Annie Penn Hospital.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday April 21, 2018 at Lowes United Methodist Church in Reidsville and burial will follow at El Bethel Presbyterian Church in Eden. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6 – 8 pm at Lowes United Methodist Church and other times at the home.

Mrs. Evans was born September 15, 1933 in Lyons, Georgia to the late Duncan and Oles Kirkley Collins.  She was a member of Lowes United Methodist Church where she was a former vice president of the United Methodist Women and a long time member of the Prayer Chain and Keenagers Club.  Mrs. Evans worked in her early years at Leaksville Graded Elementary School in the cafeteria and was “Neighborhood Mom” in Price Park for many years.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were husband Harden Jackson Evans; sister, Frankie Marie Payton; brothers, Trumouth Darby and Robert Collins; daughter, Tish Evans Roberson.

Surviving are sons, Wayne Evans and wife Tammy of Eden, David “Bubba” Evans and wife Mitzi of Stoneville, Mike Sellars and wife Debi of Salt Springs, FL and Jimmy Evans and wife Cherry of Weirsdale FL.; daughter, Jacqueline Evans of St. Louis, MO.; grandchildren, Erin Foley, Brian Evans and wife Ali, Brittany Evans, Shelly Evans Guifarro and husband Alex, Blake Evans, Matthew Turman and Travis Roberson and wife Jessica; brothers, Richard Collins of Sanford, FL and Raymond Collins of Okahumpka, FL.; son-in-laws, Joe Glaspie and Wayne Roberson; numerous nieces and nephews.
