Joshua Ryan Jarrell, 27, of 120 Wendy Lane in Madison, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, March 3rd, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (3 - 4 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his parents, 481 Audubon Drive in Eden.

Josh was born October 25, 1990 in Eden, NC.  He was a graduate of Morehead High School, Class of 2009, where he played baseball for the school.  After graduation, he went went directly into the US Army where he proudly served his country until November of 2016.  Josh was a graduate of Virginia College and had recently enrolled in Rockingham Community College to further his education.  He loved sports, especially basketball and was an avid fan of fast cars.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Julie Jarrell Grubbs of Eden;  two sisters, Breanna Hopkins and Mackenzie Grubbs, both of Eden;  paternal grandparents, Karen Simpson and Ronnie Grubbs, both of Eden;  maternal great-grandparents, Ann and Ron Woodall of Wurtz, VA;  uncles, Michael Jarrell, Jr. and wife, Heather of Reidsville, Todd Grubbs and Lee Grubbs, both of Eden;  aunts, Cassie Jarrell of Greenville, Hannah Bahenna and Kasey Grubbs, both of Eden;  special cousin, Justin Jarrell;  and Josh's loyal companion, Capone.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Ronda Woodall and Michael Jarrell, Sr.
