Devin Luke Wright, 20, of 294 Manuel Road in Mayodan, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Sunday, January 28th, at New Beginning Apostolic Church, 687 Shady Grove Road in Eden with burial to follow in Mayodan Municpal Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at New Beginning Apostolic Church and other times at the residence.

Devin was born October 30, 1997 in Eden, NC.  He was a graduate of McMichael High School, Class of 2017.  Devin enjoyed watching movies and was an avid Batman fan.  Most of all, Devin loved Jesus and his family.

He is survived by his father and mom, Kenneth and Angela Wright of the home; brother, Bryan Wright and wife, Sara of Mebane and Dale Wright and wife, Mary of Eden;  sisters, Brittany Beasley and husband, Cody of Madison and Sara Wright of Mayodan;  paternal grandmother, Nancy Wright of Mayodan;  grandparents, John Benge and wife Lois of Murphy;  and several cousins.  

Also surviving is his biological mother, Tammy Harris;  grandmother, Inez Via;  and several other extended family members.  

Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Lester Earl Via, Jr.
