Ruby Elizabeth Cox Moore, 87, of 1008 Tenth Street in Eden, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 31st, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.

Ruby was born April 18, 1930 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Gent and Grace Carter Cox.  She grew up in the Christian View Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of Spray Baptist Church.  Ruby was a retiree of Dupont.

She is survived by two nieces, Debbie Smith and husband, Benny of Madison and Cynthia C. Goble and husband, Jesse of Reidsville;  nephew, Keith James Cox of Wilmington;  and sister-in-law, Patsy Cox of Stoneville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Hootie" Eldee Moore and three brothers, Elmer, James W. and David Cox.
