Obituary For Delores Nolan Montgomery Thompson Edwards
October 22, 1948 - December 24, 2017


Delores Nolan Montgomery Thompson Edwards, 69, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Brian Center in Eden, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 28, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  Pastor Tommy Vass and Pastor Kevin Dunovant will officiate.  Interment will follow in Ridge View Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.   

Delores was born October 22, 1948 in Leaksville, NC to Odessa Manuel Montgomery and the late Charles Dale Montgomery, SR. of Des Moines, Iowa.  Delores was blessed by two families, the Charles D. Montgomery, Sr. family of Iowa and the Elijah Lee Thompson family of Eden, NC.  

She is survived by her husband, Roy Calvin Edwards;  her sons, Christopher "Chris" Calvin Edwards, Sr. and Kevin Lane Edwards and wife, Brandie;  grandchildren, Christopher Calvin Edwards, Jr. and wife, Alyssa, Lance Blakely Edwards, Justin Tyler Edwards, Kaitlin (Katie) Edwards, Matthew Edwards, and Braxton Edwards;  great-grandchildren, Emilee Edwards and Kalli Edwards of Eden;  mother, Odessa M. Thompson of Eden;  step-mother, Betty Montgomery of Iowa;  sister, Debra "Debbie" Thompson Horton and husband, Myron;  brothers, Wayne Thompson and wife, Lisa of Eden, Charles "Chuck" Dale Montgomery, Jr., William "Bill" Mongtomery and wife, JoAnne and Rick Montgomery and wife, Susan of Iowa; nieces and nephews, Lisa Thompson of Eden, Herman Thompson of Winter Park, FL, Cody and Nicholas Thompson of Eden, Becki and Nancy Horton of Gainesville, FL, and Ginni Mayberry and husband, Matt of Clover, SC;  several great-nieces and nephews and her special friends, Richard and Dell Warner of Chuluota, FL, Wanda Rogers  and Joan Bailey and husband, Barry of Eden.

She was preceded in death by her daddy, Elijah Lee Thompson;  her father, Charles D. Montgomery;  her brother, Bobby Lee Thompson and Rodger Montgomery.
